The guest rooms of this historic Tucson hotel transport you back to a simpler time with vintage radios, antique iron beds, a fully operational 1930's era switchboard and the rumble of the occasional train - all come together to make for a unique and memorable stay. The rustically elegant home of Barb and Dave Malmquist, Casa Tierra (Earth House), recalls haciendas of old Mexico. The all-adobe home features over fifty arches and includes entryways with vaulted brick ceilings and beautiful interior arches and courtyards with fountains. Each of the sun-baked adobe bricks was left exposed so the natural color and texture can be appreciated. Hand-made ceramic lights are found throughout the inn. The viga and latilla ceilings, brick floors and brightly patterned Talavera tile throughout the home further enhance the feel of Mexico.
